A Celebration of Life for Torey Fay
When: Saturday, November 19, 2022

Where: Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School Cafetorium
Who: This event is open to anyone who has cherished memories of Torey Fay
Please join Torey's family and us in celebrating an amazing teacher, mother, wife, and friend. There will be:
- Light refreshments
- Opportunities for people to share memories of Ms. Fay (open mic)
- Card-making station - for those who want to share their memories of Torey with her family
- A slideshow of pictures (please add yours here - Pictures for Torey's CoL)
- Representatives from Be the Match - The team from Be the Match is scheduled to join us to take non-invasive samples from those over 18 years old wishing to join the registry to potentially donate bone marrow to those critically ill with blood cancer. Simply joining the registry now does not obligate anyone to donate eventually, and most that do enter the registry will never be called. More information can be found here.
Additional Information:
- As a community, we are working on creating a scholarship fund for both Lilyanna, Ms. Fay's daughter, and for students at Meridian High School. The first $1000 will go to Lilyanna, and the remainder will go towards a math scholarship for students at MHS in Torey's name.
- Donation information: Scholarship Donation Link -- Any donation made should be for "Scholarship," and then enter Torey Fay.
- Instead of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Childhood Cancer Association in Ms. Fay's honor.

A former teacher and a long-time member of the Oak Street and Mary Ellen Henderson communities, Torey Fay, passed away Thursday, September 22. She touched many lives in our Little City.
Support from school psychologists and social workers for any student, parent, or staff member who wishes to talk about this news will be on-site at Oak Street and the Secondary Campus today.
Torey's wake, funeral and burial will be held in Dansville, NY October 7 and 8th.
