This summer, we are encouraging our Primary Years Programme (PYP) students to embrace the spirit of community and compassion through the "Summer of Service" initiative inspired by Youth Service America. These calendars, which include optional activities, are designed to foster global citizenship and engage students in taking action —a key component of the PYP. Students can set goals for themselves and engage in hands-on service projects that make a real-world impact—whether by helping neighbors, supporting local causes, or caring for the environment.
You can access the Summer of Service calendars here. If your student completes one or more activities on the calendar, they can complete and return a short reflection (linked in the calendar) and submit it for a certificate of completion and be entered into a raffle to win a small prize.
Through reflection and action, our young learners are discovering that even the smallest acts of kindness can lead to meaningful change.
