FCCPS Superintendent Peter J. Noonan has announced his retirement, effective at the end of the 2024-25 school year. After dedicating 33 years to public education, Noonan has decided to step down to spend more time with his family.

Due to the expected inclement weather, please note these changes:
- Track & Field is postponed until Monday @ same time
- Science Olympiad canceled.
- Rec & Parks events postponed Sat until at least 10 am.
- VHSL Swim & Dive and Wrestling Tournament will be held as scheduled.
With the uncertainty of tomorrow morning's weather, logistical challenges, and out of an abundance of caution, Falls Church City Public Schools, Administrative Offices, and Extended Day Care Program will be closed on Friday, January 19th.
The Falls Church City Public Schools, Administrative Offices, and Extended Day Care Program will operate on a (two) 2-hour delay on Wednesday, January 17th.
Day Care will not accept Drop-Ins.
There will be NO Early Release Wednesday at any school.

JTP Green Line Route Change:
Effective tomorrow, Thursday, December 7, 2023, temporary bus stops put in place during construction off of Ellison St will revert back to Ellison St @ Kent St as there is no longer construction congestion.

The Bikesgiving Bike to School event that was scheduled for tomorrow (11/21) has been canceled due to expected bad weather. (Rain & Wind)

This is a reminder that today's dismissal (Wednesday, November 15) will be at 12:30 due to the early release of the Secondary Campus and the need to coordinate bus schedules.

Power has been restored to all FCCPS schools as well as the central Falls Church area.
A power outage in the central Falls Church area is impacting Mount Daniel and Jessie Thackrey Preschool. Oak Street Elementary, the Secondary Campus, and the Central Office currently are unaffected. Stand by for more info as we get it.
